Founded in 1784 in Philadelphia, PA, the D. Landreth Seed Company was essential in supplying seeds and nursery stock to the fledgling United States—not just to local farmers but also to America’s presidents, from George Washington to Theodore Roosevelt. Landreth seeds eventually were traded worldwide and even made a trip to the Arctic. The company’s 200+-year history is legendary.
